NUVON VEGA SOLUTION: Nuvon VEGA Gateway

The Nuvon VEGA Gateway appliance is designed to extend the access of devices and data managed by the Nuvon VEGA solution to authorized remote users outside of the physical location. This remote access allows for easy collection, analysis, and reporting of all system data, as well as the monitoring of devices for technical maintenance.

The Nuvon VEGA Gateway is actually a rack unit, connecting the IDM appliances hardware with the Nuvon VEGA Client software. One of the exciting benefits of the gateway is that it protects the network from unauthorized intrusions to managed intranet devices, with enhanced security features that protect against denial of service, spoofing, and external malicious attacks.

The Gateway securely expands a facility’s private network to allow authorized external users to access the system without the need for slow VPN connections. The Gateway automatically creates a secure tunnel between itself and the Web Module on the Nuvon VEGA server. This new found access to devices, events, and system monitoring capabilities offers tremendous return-on-investment through the ability to dramatically increase productive work time while significantly reducing the need for additional and expensive technical manpower.
